Kabod Specialty Coffee Roasters™ is a Woman Owned Denver, Colorado company that works closely with organic Ethiopian Coffee growers to import the finest single-origin coffee beans that are shade-grown, sun dried, and unblended.
Organic Ethiopian Coffee: Why is Kabod Special?
Kabod Specialty Coffee Roasters™ imports the finest green arabica beans from small farm owners in Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee. The single-source USDA certified organic beans are shade-grown, sun dried, and packed in hermetic Grainpro™ bags for a superior preservation of the coffee beans' aroma, color, and freshness as they make their journey from Ethiopia to Denver, Colorado, USA.
The Importance of Single-Origin
All of our coffee beans come from local farms within a specific geographical region in Ethiopia. The name of each coffee is derived from the region in which it was grown. Sourcing beans from a single-origin is the only way to guarantee a specific and consistent taste. Each batch we hand roast is unblended to preserve the unique flavors grown from each fertile region.
Our beans are generally grown on a single farm, which may range in size from a few acres to large plantations occupying many square miles, or a collection of farms which all process their coffee at the same mill. This allows us to achieve international quality, USDA Organic, and Fair Trade certifications.
We support hard working families that take pride in their family business of growing coffee, they understand the value of family support and respect for the earth. Behind each cup of Kabod coffee is a story about a family, a farmer and a community. These human connections are an essential part of the Kabod coffee experience.
