What is Kabod Coffee?
Kabod Coffee was created to bridge the gap between the world’s coffee lovers and the small family farms of Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee. From the very beginning, our mission has been to provide the finest coffee directly to the consumer — without the middleman — while honoring and uplifting the farmers who grow it. By sourcing directly from our small family farms, we pay farmers fairly for their harvests and ensure their hard work is rewarded with fair-trade prices. Each batch of coffee we source remains single-origin and completely unblended, allowing the unique flavor profiles of Ethiopia’s rich coffee regions to shine through in every cup.

Our farm-to-cup journey is carefully designed to preserve the integrity of the coffee from its origin to your hands. It begins with purchasing sun-dried green coffee beans straight from our farmers, then importing them sealed in specialized hermetically sealed sacks that lock in flavor and freshness. From there, we roast our specialty coffee beans in small batches at our own Kabod Coffee roasteries, never blending across regions, so that every roast highlights the authentic character of its origin. Each step is carried out with precision and care, ensuring that the heritage and quality of Ethiopian coffee is never compromised.
Finally, we complete the circle by packaging our coffee fresh for customers at home and for brewing in our own cafés. Every bag and every cup of Kabod Coffee represents the same uncompromising commitment to excellence: from the farmer’s hands, to the roastery, to the moment you take your first sip. At Kabod Coffee, freshness and quality guide every step of our roasting and packaging process. We operate our own roastery, where every batch of coffee is roasted in small quantities to preserve the unique character and vibrant flavor profiles of our single-source Ethiopian beans. Unlike mass production, our small-batch approach ensures careful attention to detail, consistency in every roast, and the ability to highlight the distinct qualities of each region we source from. Once roasted, every pound of Kabod Coffee is packed fresh — sealed immediately to lock in aroma and flavor — and then shipped directly to our cafés and retail partners. This hands-on process allows us to maintain complete control from farm to roastery to cup, guaranteeing that every bag of Kabod Coffee delivers the uncompromising freshness and excellence our customers deserve.
